Job Coaching Is Key to Success

The programs at OCNJ are designed to provide comprehensive training. Each person is carefully assessed and trained according to his or her preferences and capabilities. Our counselors work with each individual to complete the job search process by offering help in resume writing, job readiness, interview techniques and job etiquette.

A trained Job Coach works alongside the client on-site and assists in teaching the tasks and duties of the job, beginning with intensive job coaching that gradually decreases. The Coach also helps the trainee to recognize appropriate work and social skills necessary to sustain employment. As part of our quality assurance, an OCNJ staff member will follow up with a graduate and the employer for up to one year after placement. A visit to the client’s job site assures that both the expectations of the client, and the employer are being met.
